Emil Ernström is a composer who writes music with instruments and computers and found sounds. His music has been performed by Sō Percussion, the Yale Symphony Orchestra, icarus Duo, among other ensembles. He also writes scores for film and theatre, including Dream Girl, which premiered at the 2017 Houston Next International Film Festival, and Questions of Justice, a feature-length documentary by Clark Burnett and Aaron Peirano Garrison. Emil is a junior at Yale where he studies music composition with Konrad Kaczmarek and Kathryn Alexander. This summer, Emil will be a composition fellow at the Norfolk New Music Workshop.
